Does RealCar New York provide car rental delivery to airports?
Yes, RealCar provides personalized delivery service to airports, including JFK, LGA, EWR, and HPN. Our concierge will meet you at the terminal with the luxury vehicle of your choice, ensuring a smooth and convenient start to your journey in New York.
Can I schedule a rental car delivery for the same day in New York?
Absolutely! RealCar New York offers same-day car rental delivery with just 2 hours’ notice before the rental start time. However, please note that availability may vary depending on the selected vehicle and delivery location.
Can I change the delivery or return location after my booking is processed?
Yes, you can update the delivery or return location after confirming your booking. To guarantee timely service, we require all changes to be submitted at least 2 hours before the start of your rental period.
Is there a fee for car rental delivery in New York?
There is no fee for delivery within the New York Metro Area. However, for deliveries to and from the airports, there is a charge of $125 each way.
How does the rental car delivery process work?
At the time of booking, specify the date, time, and address for delivery and return. Two hours before delivery, you’ll receive a text message reminder about your rental. Upon arrival, our delivery concierge will call or text you to confirm their arrival. Please be prepared at the scheduled time to ensure a smooth and punctual experience.
Is there a cancellation fee if I decide to cancel?
If you choose to cancel the delivery and opt to pick up the vehicle instead, no cancellation fee will apply. If you cancel your booking entirely, cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before the rental start to receive a full refund. For cancellations made less than 72 hours prior, we will issue an e-credit for future rentals.
Am I required to be present at the time of delivery, or can the car be delivered to the valet?
The primary driver listed on the contract must be present at the time of delivery. Please have your driver’s license ready to present to our delivery concierge.
What happens if I’m late to accept a delivery or return the vehicle?
If you anticipate being late, please notify us immediately. We offer a 30-minute grace period for delivery or return. If the delay exceeds 30 minutes, a late fee will apply. The initial fee is $50, with an additional $50 charged for every subsequent 30-minute interval.
What documents are required to rent a car with RealCar in New York?
To rent a car with RealCar in New York, you’ll need to provide your payment card, driver’s license, cell phone number, and email for communication purposes. International drivers must also present a valid passport, a driver’s license from their home country, and an entry visa.
Does RealCar require a security deposit for luxury car rentals in New York?
Typically, RealCar does not require a security deposit. However, if you’re using a debit card, are under 25, or have major violations on your driving record, a refundable security deposit of up to $3,000 may be required.
