RealCar offers the flexibility to return your vehicle early whenever your plans change. However, since long-term rates are duration-dependent, early returns requesting a prorated refund will require a rate recalculation to reflect the standard short-term pricing for the days used.
According to New York State law, residents are required to obtain a New York driver’s license within 30 days of establishing residency.
To ensure full regulatory compliance for our long-term clients, RealCar requires that any renter with a term exceeding 30 days provides a valid New York State license no later than 30 days after the rental commencement date.
To ensure a completely stress-free experience, comprehensive maintenance is fully included in your monthly rate. We handle all routine servicing and mechanical upkeep so you can focus on the drive.
Regarding insurance, we offer several premium protection tiers that can be added to your monthly plan during checkout. Alternatively, if you have a personal or corporate policy that meets our luxury vehicle requirements, you may provide proof of coverage to satisfy this component.
To maintain the integrity of our premium fleet, a security deposit may be required for certain reservations. While not mandatory for every client, a deposit is typically requested for drivers under the age of 25 or when reserving high-value specialty vehicles.
Depending on the specific model and rental duration, deposits generally range from $1,000 to $5,000. These funds are fully refundable upon the successful and undamaged return of the vehicle.
While street parking is legally permitted in many NYC neighborhoods, we strongly advise against it. To ensure the security of your high-value rental, we recommend utilizing a secure parking garage for the duration of your stay.
Historically, vehicles parked on the street overnight face a significantly higher risk of glass breakage, theft, or accidental exterior damage.
